With over 6,000 cycles at full discharge, these batteries outperform traditional options like Pb acid, Ni Cd, and Li-ion batteries, which typically provide only 1,000 to 2,000 cycles. This extended cycling life ensures that Zelestium’s battery remains reliable and functional for a much longer period, making it ideal for crucial applications like energy storage. They are manufactured with sustainable materials only, fully avoiding the use of heavy metals (including the toxic cadmium and lead, a serious issue in today’s batteries) or rare materials, that make NATO very dependent on third countries. This disruptive technology has been successfully tested with very good results, with no noticeable drawbacks. Moreover, the cost of Al-ion batteries is significantly lower than that of the alternatives.
